Story Synopsis

A poor teenage boy, Cade Jackson (Mateus Ward), lives in a trailer park, after his mother and his father abandoned him. In order to make ends meet, he steals, lies and does whatever it takes to survive on his own. In order to fly under the radar, he does not stand up against bullies at his high school, or the abusive father of the Grace (Hana Hayes), the girl he loves, for fear of revealing his secret life. But when his best friend Marshall (Jake Elliott) loses all hope, and commits suicide, Cade can no longer stand by and watch these same pubescent terrorists continue to prey on other victims, and learns to finally take a stand.

Our flawed hero takes a vow to honor his best friend Marshall's death by transforming himself into the image Marshall drew of his ideal superhero he created called REBEL. It is Marshall’s drawing of REBEL that catapults Cade into becoming a vigilante, standing up for those who can't stand up for themselves.

The owner of the Trailer park Mr. Holt (Bas Rutten) is a down and out MMA fighter and offers to train Cade in Mixed Martial Arts, but more importantly, teaches him life lessons. However, this doesn't go well, as they don't see eye to eye. Mr. Holt has lived a life of violence, and fears he is creating a weapon in Cade, who is impatient and full of anger. Initially, Cade just wants revenge for his friend’s death. Meanwhile, the school bully, Wyatt Dalton (Cody Saintgnue), discovers Rebel's true identity, and will stop at nothing to destroy him. Feeling the pressure, Cade struggles with his vengeful side, but its Mr. Holt’s lessons, and Grace's humanity that makes him realize there is a better way to deal with bullies than always resorting to violence, and REBEL must become a symbol of hope.
